Managing Director and Founder of ‘The Interiors Directory’. Colette has over 20 years experience in Interior Architecture, Design and related industries. Colette returned to Ireland from San Francisco in 2008 where she previously founded ‘Dezign Studio’, an Interior Architecture and Design Consultancy firm. Her fresh and very artistic approach to design can be seen in the fine Private Residences she designed. Colette worked with renowned Architects, Designers, Builders and Private Clients worldwide to create exclusive interiors. Prior to leaving for San Francisco, Colette attended NCAD in Dublin, where she initially developed her love of art and design, and the skills that she built on throughout her professional career.

Susan Mc Adam (10)

Susan Mc Adam studied Architecture in Bolton Street, Dublin before receiving her BA Degree in Interior Design from DIT. A Limerick native, she now lives and works in Dublin. She has an immense passion for design and has contributed to a broad spectrum of work from commercial to domestic projects. She strives to create the best possible environment for all clients while also providing an original aesthetic and the all important wow factor.

I have been an interior designer for more than twenty years. A long time in this business! I qualified years ago in the eighties, but Ireland was, at that time, pretty well an interior designer free zone. I then had the opportunity to move to South Africa, where interior design was – and still is - truly recognised as a profession of note. I suddenly had a terrific opportunity to be taken seriously and I really worked hard, opening my business in Nelspruit (close to Kruger National Park) in 1990. I began working in Mozambique after the civil war ended in 1992 and all the embassies were moving back there from Overseas. Lots of renovations of beautiful, old Colonial mansions - and even a courthouse - gave me enormous satisfaction. They were great times…there’s something about being on site beside the Indian Ocean with the hot sun and the palm trees……I returned to Ireland in 2000 and within a couple of years had got my business up and running again. It just goes to show how portable we designers are! I have been working happily in Galway since I returned and, though the past two years have been a bit turbulent business-wise, most of us are surviving quite well, as far as I can tell.

Eddie Shanahan (3)

Eddie Shanahan runs his own management consultancy covering branding, retailing, fashion & homewares. He lists leading Irish and international designers, retailers, media and blue chip companies among his clients - these include Enterprise Ireland, the Crafts Council of Ireland,  RTE, Newstalk, Nina Divito, Leitrim Design House, Kevin Dempsey Distributors, Limerick School of Art & Design, Louth Craftmark, Leitrim Enterprise Board and the Paris based Irish designer Sharon Wauchob.

He is a Director of the Leitrim Design House,Chairman of the Council of Irish Fashion Designers and an Associate at the retail consultants MH Consultancy.

He was Director of Merchandising & Marketing at Arnotts for nine years up to the formation of his consultancy business in late 2005.

Robert Gill (0)

Rob Gill is a director of FutureHomes, with over 15 years in the electrical and electronic field, Rob moved in to the home control area in Australia. Upon return in 2005 he helped to establish FutureHomes with Conor Quigley.

Since its inception, Future Homes has been privileged to have worked on some outstanding projects. Their reputation has grown into one of Ireland's top custom technology companies. Much of FutureHomes work is generated by referrals from satisfied customers, highlighting the quality of the service and the expertise their company provides.

Rob works very closely with the top interior designers and architects across the country, to ensure their home control systems are simple to use, and are discretely located within the clients home ensuring the overall aesthetics are maintained.

Niall Maxwell (4)

Niall is the owner of Niall Maxwell Gardens, an award winning garden design and construction firm based in Dublin. Niall studied horticulture in Writtle College, Essex and graduated in 1997. Immediately after College he went to work for Mr. Jim Reynolds in the world renowned Butterstream Gardens in Co.Meath. After his time at Butterstream, Niall worked with a landscape design and construction company in Co.Meath before eventually going solo in January of 2004 when he set up Niall Maxwell Gardens. Niall is an avid plants person with a keen eye and flair for design and is much respected within the industry for his gardens and design work. In 2009 Niall won silver and best small garden at the Bloom in the Park Festival, following it up in 2010 with a silver-gilt medal in the medium garden category.

Gary Tiernan (2)

Gary Tiernan is the owner of www.ubode.ie, an online home store, bringing you a collection of leading interior brands, directly to your home. Based out of Dublin, Gary has a passion for design and works as a freelance Interior design consultant for both the private and commercial sector. Projects completed include the fit out of a number show homes and investor apartments, through to a number of small family homes.
Having graduated as a Furniture Designer at the prestigious Furniture College in Letterfrack, Co Galway, Gary went on to complete a business and technology degree in furniture design. Before setting up UBODE he worked with some of Ireland's leading retailers as a buying and interiors consultant. Over the past ten years his work has taken him across Europe to meet with manufacturers of furniture and interior products, to look for quality designs and to ensure that Irish consumers are getting some of the best products available.

David Cahill (3)

Over a decade ago, David Cahill had a vision of establishing a lighting and living company that would be the envy of all others. At that time, he had already worked in the industry for 19 years and so well-knew what the industry and more importantly customers desire most of all. Through determined effort and hard work, in 2004 David's brainchild was born in Killarney and it quickly established within a year to be a lighting company like no other.

Spa Lighting and Living has now opened a new location at Mill Street, Dublin 8.

Carol Glover (2)

I studied Interior Design for 3 years & have a Rhodec Diploma in Interior Design.  With the last 5 years I have specialised in Kitchen design & planning. I currently work as a Design Consultant for Hogan Kitchens in Navan, Co. Meath. Hogan Kitchens create bespoke furniture which allows me to me more creative in designing & combining different materials to create the Clients Dream Kitchen. I am one in three Finalist for Young Designer of the Year Awards which is coming up in September for the Kitchen Trade Awards.

Declan O'Donnell (1)

Declan studied architecture at Queen's University Belfast and the Mackintosh School of architecture in Glasgow. On completion of his Postgraduate Degree he was invited to join the international design studio, Foster + Partners in London. During his time there he took a lead role in the design of some of the most significant and challenging projects across the globe at the very cutting edge of contemporary architecture. In 2008 he returned to Dublin to setup ODKM and with an impressive selection of residential projects already completed, he has quickly established himself as an Architect and Interior Designer with a difference, offering expertise on everything from colour to planning law to construction contracts.

Darren Morgan (2)

Darren Morgan is very well known and respected within the kitchen and interiors industry. He has over 12 years industry experience and is the only Irish designer to have won the prestigious KBB Industry Awards and The Designer Awards in London.

His award winning designs have been noted in journals and websites the world over. He is recognised by his peers as being one of the foremost authorities on kitchen design having published articles and advice in many international design magazines, and journals.

Earlier this year Darren launched Designer Kitchen, an independent design and project management service that is designed to demystify the process of buying a new kitchen, making it easier and more transparent. This service provides clients with impartial design advice and insider industry knowledge.

Darren is also a member of The Society of British Interior Design.
